This one is heavily Strange-fiction weighted: The Miskatonic Archive. We would love to have short stories submitted there, as well as more artists of the genre, and anything else that fits.

Two websites that may be of use:

http://editthis.info/brass_goggles/Main_Page -The Brassgoggles wiki It hasn't been used for a while, but its a decent resource -so I thought I'd draw some attention to it.

http://sparegoggles.forumotion.net/forum.htm ; -Sparegoggles; a temporary forum that is used during outages, in order to keep the BG community going. Hopefully it won't need to be used again in any hurry, but its usefull to know it's there encase  ;)

Let me heartily second both of those!

You should feel free to contribute to the wiki. Admittedly the markup is more than a little weird, but shouldn't be too hard to learn.

And sign up for Sparegoggles now, so in the (one hopes) unlikely event of an outage here, you will be prepared in advance.

Lady Charis

Greetings and salutations;

In my perusal of the aether, I have been fortunate enough to discover the following for your delectation.

http://theridiculant.metro.co.uk/2009/04/steampowered-ipod-charger-ideal-for-the-time-traveller-on-the-go.html

This one is less directly steampunk, but interesting in a vaguely SP way nonetheless.

I hope you enjoy!
Best wishes,

Professor Maelstromme

We enjoy designing and producing Steampunk items at www.bruteforcestudios.com  and would love be added to this list.  We want to launch a Steampunk only site but at present it is combined with our Victorian style corsets (which we also do in Steamy designs and fabrics).
Steampunk is our passion.

Another link - this time steam /powered/ rather than steam /punk/, but what the hey.  Possibly NSFW?

I came across this Blog today

http://www.paleofuture.com/

Though not strictly a Steampunk site it's title "A look into the future that never was" and contents in particular the items from the 19th century are quite interesting.

Datamancer

Where's the modding section? I think it only fair that the PC mods be represented considering they, and the blog-crazy tech folks they appeal to, are the main reason steampunk has become as popular as it is today.

For starters you can add http://jakehildebrandt.com/ and www.datamancer.net

What about www.alternatehistory.com quite relevant to some Steampunk literature

I'd like to respectfully point out that we 2D artists tend to be rather sorely overlooked when it comes to steampunk art. DIYs, mods and sculptures found in this genre are truly stellar to be sure - but why not add a section that allows for links of 2D artists? There are a few of us. :)

Penelope

I just recently started a new blog...

http://asteampunkreverie.blogspot.com/

I'm hoping to post at least a few times a week, about steampunk, writing in general, and writing in the steampunk genre.  I also hope to start hosting mini contests for steampunk shorts, if there are any writers interested.  Just message me either here or via my blog for submissions.   :)

Dreadful Sydney

Generally more of a scifi/fantasy site, but for October, 2009, tor.com is holding a steampunk month.

Mister Fox

I'm not sure whether it is suitable for inclusion on the list, but the UK Steampunk Website is opening its doors.

It's somewhere for all those of us who live in the UK to get together, to talk to each other, to plan things and to promote things. I'm hoping it's going to get all the separate groups who chose to live under the Steampunk banner, and just happen to be sharing the same geographical set of islands, talking, sharing and inspiring each other. It's specific nature should give it a focus which isn't possible--or desirable--on a forum like this and the openness allowed by the site should make it more accessible than an e-group. That's the plan, anyway.

The url is: www.steampunknetwork.co.uk

As it deals specifically with Steampunk in the UK, it's appeal to international members of the community might be limited (you're quite welcome to join in, but you may have to travel a bit for the events and gatherings...).  Still, if it is deemed suitable for inclusion, I'd be happy as a dandy.

If I'm barking up the right tree, the wrong tree or the wrong part of the right tree or whatever, let me know. Of course, if you have something you want to share with the world, create an account and post it up!

These are likely to be malfunctioning at present. Will update when I manage to subdue them.
