Deever

Hello steampunks!
I am suggesting my own website to be enlisted:

http://steampunk.deever.cz

It's in Czech, updated weekly/twice a month and I am only one, who's making some kind of steampunk-focused website in Czech Republic. I am translating articles and stories from important sources - such as The Steampunk Magazine. I am also writing my own steampunk-related articles, news, link lists and reviews of steampunk products (books, role-playing games, pc/xbox/ps3 games, etc.).

All the best

Cubinoid

I just returned from a physical visit to this shop:

http://www.nauticalia.com/company.php (their history...)

It sells kits and models for building Stirling engines, models of steam engines, and many brass things such as the wall mounted compass, thermometer, but many others I've not seen before, and has many lovely items such as the brass and copper bosun's whistle, mini brass telescopes...worth a Christmas visit!
We are proud to present the Surrey Steampunk Convivial, for your pleasure:

Jonny B. Goode

For dieselpunks, do also add the Fedora Chronicles. http://thefedorachronicles.com

(Although they consider themselves more retro-futurists. ToMAYto, toMAHto...)
Sky Marshal Jonathan Baines "Jonny B." Goode, F.O.S.S.L.
"The Gentleman Soldier"™
Commander, Air Corps Elite for Steel (A.C.E.S.)

OK, you might give this a try:

and let me know how it goes for you.

Haltingpoint

I humbly submit my very own site, BuySteampunk.com.

It aggregates steampunk related eBay listings and filters all the junk out (of which there is a considerable amount) and updates in real-time.

There are sections for:

In the near future I'm also looking to add some Etsy listings once I can figure out how to best do that with the current layout.

I launched my own Steampunk blog this week. Hoping to grow it over the next few weeks and months.

Pop along and let me know what you think...

Lord Bobbins

Greetings everyone,

My name is Lord Hastings Bobbins. I will be running TeslaCon this November in Madison, Wisconsin. Our web address is:

www.teslacon.org

TeslaCon is a Steam convention with an emphasis on immersion. The weekend is intended to take you back completely to the late 1800's on a tesla powered airship. From the moment you step into the hotel, everything you see and experience will be that of an adventure in late Victorian times.

All factions of the fandom are welcome from "clock" to "diesel". Our hope is to make a event that truly brings the fandom to life.

Please contact us with any questions. I am looking forward to making new friends and seeing old ones.

Sincerely,

Lord Hastings R. Bobbins
I do all right building airships. My profits keep going up!

Albrecht

Nick, I could not find Hilde's site in the initial list or am I just blind?

Anyways:
My English Blog (already 21 pages and counting):
Daily Steampunk

and the fresh German equivalent:
Neues aus dem Æther

SteamCrow

Aside from my webcomic, I have a very simple steampunk inspiration blog:

http://www.steampunkr.com

Albrecht

Just an update:
Due to my old provider being rather difficult when it comes to blogs, I moved the English blog:

The Traveler's Steampunk Blog

Alexis Voltaire

I'd like to submit some obscure ones:

Tales of the Future Past

http://davidszondy.com/future/futurepast.htm

not steampunk by design, per say, but a lot of interesting information about science fiction of the early 1900's.

Science Hobbyist

http://amasci.com/

Huge website. not steampunk, but a lot of information for those who tinker with electronics and mad science.

Project Gutenberg

www.gutenberg.org/

has some free Jules Verne books, and some other interesting old books.
~-- Purveyour of Useless Facts, Strange Advice, Plots --~

Mr. Moonchylde

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this.

"The League" web-comic. No, not "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", but in fact a rather silly new web-comic chronicling the adventures of Well Dressed Ninja and the other members of "The League of Finely Dressed Assailants of the Night." It's still getting off the ground, but so far so good.

Cagliostro

Dr Cagliostro´s cabinet of curiosities is a unique exhibition comprising extraordinary objects and amazing stories based on encounters with the unknown.

www.cagliostro.se

The page is mostly in swedish, but we are slowly working on the english version...

Trebus

Hello, I hope I'm not breaking some code by butting in as it were (newly joined), but I'd like to add my own little offering into the mix.

I write stories and various other prattling prose on the Victorian theme here: http://pennydreadfultales.blogspot.com/
While I don't believe it's strictly Steampunk it is a surreal take on the Victorian heros, villains, explorers, music hall stars, military men and magic of the era. So it may prove of some amusement to some.

Oh, and if any of you fine people do take some time to read my site please do excuse my measly grammer and spelling!

Hello. Aren't you fine people. God speed to you all.

Carlantis07

Hello Everyone,
My name is Carl and I'd like to refer all of you to my Role playing forum. This particular Roleplay is set in a steampunk apocalypse setting. It Takes place in the Fictional world of Devastat. Around the time of the invention of a power source that runs off of the heated transfer of water ie: steam, the human race has decimated it's world. Devastat a once beautiful continent with a plentiful amount of Flora and fauna has all dissapeared. Tracks have been laid for stem engine trains to transport civilians around. The constant alliance with machines have ruined the Human beings ways. When a man had claimed power in the Capitol city, he banned all machines from the people and enslaved them in factories making a mechanical army, The use of Copper, bronze and gear work has brought about the war to end the Human race.

The War has reached a stand still, the remaining humans have uncovered the ancient ruins of a great city, the remarkable secret unveiled that would bring about the world's survival......... The Final Prophecy.

So in other words, it is a free form Steampunk Role play, where a group of human's are fighting to protect "The Final Prophecy" which is kinda like a Garden of Eden.

Thank you,

I would be honored if you would be so kind as to add my humble blog, The Steampunk Forge, to the list of sites.

The address is http://thesteampunkforge.wordpress.com

The primary purpose of The Steampunk Forge is to relay news of various events relating to Steampunk, to post reviews of Steampunk related products (sites, movies, etc), to give updates on various Steampunk projects that I and others are working on, to give trivia and obscure information about Steampunk, and to act as a hub of Steampunk links (which I myself am also in the process of collecting).

Also, should any of you wish to have your site added to my hub, or for me to review Steampunk related art, writing, products, movies, etc, you need but ask. Preferably via email or private message. I would be only too happy to oblige, and gauge it with The Steam-O-Meter.

And with that, I will now add this most delightful forum to my hub.

Hi There,

I'm new to the Forum and I'm doing some research on the Orgin of Steampunk I understand it was started around the time of the early 19th century however I was wondering what kind of music was popular for the early 19th century steampunk era.

Was there any Folk music that could Tie in to the Steampunk era for the early 19th century any info you have would be great

David, for what it is worth to you, I've actually done a fair bit of research on the subject and written the first part of a lighthearted history on it.

Awesome Thank You So Much!!!!!!!

parliamentandwake

We'd love to see our site, parliamentandwake.com, added to the list . . .

MaxLibra

An interesting site, Parliament, but I wasn't really able to glean what it was about. Are you a theatre troupe? Podcasters? A steampulp fiction hub? All of the above? I'd love to see a steampunk themed theatre troupe performing.
