I've driven through on my way to Epworth coming off the motorway.  Look us up in Leeds at the market and say hello.

Hmm, Whilst Lincoln is obviously a Steampunk Strange Attractor it seems Scunthorpe may be a strange steampunk repulser, I know of several steampunks, my good lady and myself included who live approx 10 miles from the place, though our 10 miles is in the opposite direction to yours immortalis.

Yes Scunthorpe seems to repulse lots of things LOL.  Good to know there are people not to far away though, hopefully My wife and I may see some of you at leeds this weekend.

Oh that's good. I really hope to meet up with you at some point because at the moment I feel rather isolated as all my friends just think it's a bit odd. hehe.

When I'm in England (i.e. at my parents) I'm in the village where Titchmarsh now lives - Holybourne.

Hi Eric and Lettie. We have just had a first outing of the 'The Royal Brightonian Steampunk Society'. If you are on Facebook, or fancy a trip out with some South coast steampunks, pop onto face book and say hi.
Best Wishes
Vincent
Any passing resemblance to Rembandt Van Steam is purely coincidental

A recent convert, I hail from Cambridge. In terms of craft I've only really done my pistol so far, I'm now working on some goggles, a second gun and a few accessories.

Hello,
I'm a lifelong resident of Halstead in Essex, along with young steamy inspired Son and bemused Wife.

Thinsliced

A very good Monday morning to you all, if that's not an utter contradiction in terms.

I seem to have materialised here unexpectedly without map, compass or combat teabag, so apologies in advance if I appear somewhat bemused.

Currently residing in the South Birmingham Protectorate of St.Irchley, any pointers towards gatherings and meet-ups in the locality would be marvellous, while I try to find my feet in this new and unexplored terrain.

Engagements for events and soiree's that require a recently re-energised noisy steampunk band are also very welcome, and I'd love some contact with other muso's who are also steering erratically in this direction.

<< beep... beep... newbie local detected... sound the alert >>  :)

Good evening Mr Thinsliced. Were you, perchance, recruited at last Sunday's highly enjoyable event the Steampunk November Nocturne held in Stirchley?

Either way, there are certainly other events coming up, a summary of which may be found here:

http://brassgoggles.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,32960.0.html: this is a useful thread for bouncing ideas around for future gatherings too, so don't be afraid to offer your tuppence'orth.

If we can lure you a little further south, there is the Worcester Victorian Fair "Do" on the 3rd December: http://brassgoggles.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,32446.0.html

.. then the following weekend is the much-anticipated visit to Blist's Hill: http://brassgoggles.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,32370.0.html

It would be spiffing if you were able to join us for any or all of these!

Oh yes, if you're a FB user there is also a group/events on there:

Oh Lordy! Rumbled so soon! Damn these cheap vortex manipulators!

Indeed I was at the November Nocturne, and was somewhat bowled over to put it mildly. I'm still trying to find my bearings so thanks indeed for all the pointers.

I'm out this weekend in search of suitable attire for further adventures in yesterdays tomorrow, and hope to meet up soon.
