Oh Lordy! Rumbled so soon! Damn these cheap vortex manipulators!

Indeed I was at the November Nocturne, and was somewhat bowled over to put it mildly. I'm still trying to find my bearings so thanks indeed for all the pointers.

I'm out this weekend in search of suitable attire for further adventures in yesterdays tomorrow, and hope to meet up soon.

Splendid. Please bear in mind that while meets are an opportunity to "dress up" (i.e. don ones glad rags, which is not the same as "playing fancy dress"), it is by no means compulsory. Several people in the past have felt the need to apologise for not having an "appropriate" outfit. This is rather galling, as it implies a fellow Steampunk does not consider the fact that you have made the effort to be there sufficient.

Excellent that you've joined us, sir- we're notching up a mini contingent in S B'ham (i'm very close to you in Kings Heath- one reason for picking the Roadhouse as a venue...). It would certainly be good to see you at some of the events, and discuss muso leanings... (I am the violinist in Broadarrow Jack)

As per today I'm officially if not a british steampunk, at least a steampunk in Britain!  ;D

Not much going on in Edinburgh at the moment.
Only girls fight with swords these days.(Wellington - Duel and Duality - Blackadder III)

DreamHazard

don't worry about that, there soon will be :D

I'll still have a base in North Wales too, so I'll still be maintaining the Noble and Sacred Order of Gogcogs, unless someone wants to take that off my hands and do something with it

Thank you for the welcome!  :)
I hope to stay for a very long time. So far, the only question that arose was "why didn't I do this much earlier?"
Yes, I hope to get to meet as many of you fine folk as possible in the coming months!

Hi I'm in Manchester close to the Barton aqueduct so almost Salford really. More of an artisan than a roleplayer but have been known to step out in my Sunday best.

Fenwick Tesla-Smythe

Not too far from Sunny Bolton, where I live.

Skeleduck

Good day from a small town halfway between York and Doncaster!

Attractions nearby my home include a museum of our Victorian port, a general museum above the library, a park for perambulations (please ignore the motorway traffic), a newly revamped Victorian hotel that hosts tea afternoons, and there are plenty of walking and picnicking opportunities around our waterways. Notable in an outlying village is our most regal Queen Victoria herself, portrayed on stained glass in a charming church.

If I had the faculties required to organise a grand day out, I'd have already done it. Our town is wonderful really, if you avoid certain public houses.

It would be presumptuous of me to say I know him, but we have met  ;D

The industrial paradise that is Manchester.  I'm not fron there though, suggesting that I must like it here.

Clearly therefore I am not to be trusted.

Ms Tiberia

Another resident of S-SW Birmingham here.  It's heartening to see that there is a strong contingent in the region already.

I'm a newcomer to the greater world of steampunk; though I have been a reader of steam fiction for a number of years, it is only relatively recently that I have become aware of the wider scene encompassing music and the wonders of real-life airship piracy as well.

I'm very much looking forward to meeting more like-minded people in the near (retro)future.

Thank you kindly; I have indeed found the page in the aforementioned book, have requested - and been granted - ingress.  :)

It is quite ridiculous just how excited I have become by the discovery of so many wonderful gatherings of like-minded folk.
