Lindy and I are in Burnley, Lancashire. Over 50, but not actually Victorians  ;D

Heading out for a steam train ride next week in our 'practical' Victorian-esque outfits. Still putting all the 'extras' together.

Possibly saw a couple of you at the annual Steampunk Weekend at Queen Street Mill a fortnight ago?

Clym Angus

So many wonderful new people!

It is heart warming to see so many finding joy in the simple pleasures we have to offer here.

You are of course extremely welcome. There is tea, many types. Scones and of course G&T or maybe the odd 10 year old port if you fancy something stronger.

And please remember there are no archetypes, we are all as valid as each other. Our angles of approach and orbits maybe different, the gravity well is uncaring but constant.

All is well. :D

Welcome.

Alaric_Pendleton

Greetings all, from the city of Bristol, South West England.
The name's Alaric. Investigator of the Paranormal and Executor of the Supernatural, at your service...mind the blood.

Mr P Norris Esq.

Good Afternoon.
I am new to this wonderful world, however have been immersed in the world of Steam Punk from Mr Verne's writings via Mr Reeve to Mr Stephenson's Diamond Age.
I am most interested in land transportation of all types, my current fixation being modifications to Model T Fords for speed and excitement.. Wink
I am developing my alter-ego of tinkering gentleman-racer and reading voraciously.
I currently reside in a fair coaching village just south of Durham in the darkest North East of England.
I spend a lot of time up at Beamish, a Steamy Heaven implanted into the modern world.
Kindest regards and Salutations,
P Norris Esq

I'm a few miles over in Essex. Hornchurch near the Kent border to be precise. There seems to be a fair few of us East Londoners. Hope we're all going to be meeting at the London Steampunk Spectacular on January 23rd.

Can I admit to having origins in the East End - E10 Leyton

up in County Durham now.....the former county of many many coal pits....now none..and apparently very few steampunks either
