I'd love Del Toro to actually be able to make Mountains of Madness, but I don't think that's ever going to happen..

Not Steampunk in the slightest, but I'd love a faithful film version of an Iain M Banks book, either Consider Phelbas or Look to Windward.

Several versions of it come to mind*, and were made in 1912, 1913, 1929, 1943, 1953, 1958 and most recently 1997.
