Sadly it appears that the Yarra Ranges gallery is not going to host The Antipodean Steampunk Show, its doesn't appear on the play list for either the gallery or the show.  Victoria misses out completely!!  Why may I ask?

maduncle

You may ask.

Ask the organisers.

And ask them how many Victorian exhibitors they have.

It's coming to Melbourne!

I will be running a workshop at the exhibition on the 19th July - and I am plotting with two other Melbourne artists on putting together a dress up night.

Can you say 'Huzzah'?

Okay - keep the evening of Saturday 9 August free.

And watch Clockwork Butterfly http://www.clockworkbutterfly.net/ and https://www.facebook.com/clockworkbutterflydesigns for more news and a possible discount code for tickets.

Oh - and I made a new display stand for the rocket pack, so it can go back in the show.

It should be Friday 1st August, once we get the gallery settled on a date - stay tuned for flyers and stuff.

Keep us posted about dress up nights. I have been far too anti-social of late and need to attend some events.

So,

I dont think we will be holding an evening event during the show.

But - maduncle is running a goggle making workshop for kids tomorrow morning at the exhibition - should be loads of fun.

During the meanwhile...

The ongoing Antipodean Steampunk Exhibition will be in Townsville QLD, opening on 13 February, with me as your opening night speaker.

http://webapps.townsville.qld.gov.au/calendar/WhatsOn.asp?eventID=22047&print=yes

I am also giving two school talks on steampunk and running an inspectacles workshop.

This must be the longest running furtherest touring steampunk exhibition in existence by now.

Definitely!  I keep getting flyers in the mail inviting me to the respective openings.  I wish I could jump on a plane to Townsville - I could imagine a raucous yet informative night of fun with you at the helm!  Good show Sir.  Do you know where or if there is a definitive final list of where it's been?  I'd like it in my CV.  It's certainly helped me sell pieces and get into galleries here.

Thanks Drew!  I hoped it would have offered some opportunities for exhibiting/talking at one of the big US cons on the East coast - but alas no - well not yet...

Congrats all around.

Maduncle, get someone to video your talk and put it on youtube for us from faraway lands to enjoy.

And similarly for those of us in not-so-far-off lands.

We were in Ipswich for Steamfest so missed both showings there (but we did get roped into some of the Workshop Museum's publicity!).  And we managed to buy the book of the exhibition.  Some fabulous stuff in there, and we were delighted to find a rather splendid piece by one of the contributors above the beach at Redcliffe on our last day.

The big question for us is: who do we have to tea duel with to get the exhibition across the Tasman?

Talk to the lovely folk at Artisan Gallery in Brisbane about a potential NZ tour. I guess if you found a gallery or two willing to host it...
