I'll see if it's still there tomorrow. The last owner claims to have sold it to a salvage operator for a buck, but the authorities wouldn't acknowledge the sale and so they keep bringing legal action up to force him to get rid of it. That was months ago.

Could do with some work - a real 'fixer-upper'!

I'm pretty sure that building looked like that in the mid-80s.
It's definitely overdue for a bit of work.
Choose a code to live by, die by it if you have to.

It would tart-up a treat, methinks!

Was it burnt out, or just general neglect?

Whoever had the tobacco/souvenirs business in the storefront there just seems to have locked up and left and never returned. Some items may have been placed up against the door. It's been like this as long as I can remember. No-one has bothered with it ever since, except when the council put up a plaque to mark it as part of their walking tours.

This is the best I could get of the abandoned Stoney Creek Station out the window of the train.
This was the only passing loop on the whole line.

This is someone elses' image.

Redlynch. Couldn't get a good image of this from the moving train, either. I got footage, but that will have to wait.

There is an abandoned industry in this footage, as the train leaves Ingham:

Apart from being quite sad, abandoned buildings and useful objects always seem quite wasteful - reuse, recycle and repurpose obviously not considered!!
Love the little train, and the Johnny Walker sign on the green waggon!

There's a show I like by the "Vice" network called "Abandoned" which concludes just that. Don't exploit an area then leave your cast-offs to rot and possibly contaminate, but re-purpose. The host is a skater boy, and he talks more sense than some mainstream hosts.

Must be your tablet. I see pretty photographs.
By the power of caffeine do I set my mind in motion
By the Beans of Life do my thoughts acquire speed
My hands acquire a shaking
The shaking becomes a warning
