Aye, people are ;)
It always seems to happen in the wee hours of the morning though, so when I wake up I get a lovely surprise of 50 spam reports! Still; got the buggers! :)

Yeah we get LOADS of those every day, some post on the forum, others just create the member account and then wait / create multiple accounts.

I've blocked a lot of the active IP ranges, and overall we are getting fewer spammers per day for now. Still the odd one gets by from a lesser used county IP range though.  But it's a never ending war, new IP ranges will come into play and we get another surge of spammers...  :-\

Everyone keep up the good work reporting them when you see 'em.  :)

     I think the user "ilikefajui", is a spammer. He (She? It?) posted something on the non-steampunk model building thread that is obviously spam.

The OP in 'Two types of steadycam' in OT reads very familiar.... from a usual suspect too for 'meat from a tin' posts.  Tried to report it to a mod but for some reason I got an error message saying, in effect, 'You posted from this IP less than 30 seconds ago.  Wait a while'.   
Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

That is the same damn spammer I've been banning every day for over a week now!  Banned about 6 accounts from him just yesterday, no doubt there are a few more today. >:(

He has a LOAD of spam domain names to use for e-mail addresses. He doesn't give up easily...  ::)

Sadly moderators aren't allowed to edit account signatures. As he has no posts you'd have to go looking for the member profile to find/click on it, so it should be fine....

Banned member names are removed from the 'members list' on the forum, so the only place to find the spammer's profile is in the link in shoggy's post above. So it shouldn't be an issue.  :)

If we find multiple posts from the same spammer, would the Mods prefer us to "Report to Moderator" each individual post, or is it enough for us to just report one of the spammer's posts?
