Nice finds, chironex, although they'd be nicer if UrbanGhosts didn't insist on chopping off most of the right half of every photo. >:(

Sadly it is like that now?

I'll play.

It's better than it was. The tender floor was ripped up and had been visible out the top, even from right next to it; and they have wiped out the spraypaint erections. Otherwise, no-one is doing anything with it now.

It did look like this some time ago:

This ship was loading a lot of rusty metal on the day I visited the HMAS Canberra:

Banfili

selected, the top one of these three resembles a meso-American style of building.

It would be improper (sometimes impractical) to shoot these myself, so I used Streetview:

Several derelicts as yard art in front of the Rollingstone Hotel. Last time I passed by there was a derelict truck in much worse condition hidden in the carpark somewhere.

This business is around the corner from my workplace. I don't know what the old machines used as yard art have to do with their business.

Several farm houses in Toobanna, the way into Ingham, have big piles of old stuff hanging around near the road; they just don't appear close enough to Streetview.

Oh gosh. I love this stuff, I have so many photos from reclamation yards, etc. I will have to work out how to post photographs...
Watch this space  ;)

Banfili

I must get out with the camera/s this winter!

chironex

Knew I'd seen one here last time I went through the place, maybe 20 years ago...

An old excavator in Mount Morgan, Queensland.

There was another old earthmover at a park in Rockhampton, but I can't find it on GoogleEarth. May have been removed.

This is Rosewood Railway Museum, Queensland:

This area appears to be their cast-offs:

Here it is at ground level:

And this part is on the museum side of the road:

I went to the enterprise for peat extraction. Not far from Moscow. And yet there is a narrow gauge railroad. Peat is now not popular and mining it now at the minimum level.

Sorry for the errors, rudeness and stupidity. It's not me, this online translator. Really convenient?

Is that a snow plough train?

morozow

At the Armour and Artillery Museum, Cairns:

They had some more wreckage in a pile out the back, but my camera ran out of power (and I'd just charged it the previous night!)

Just something I recently bought off of eBay for £30 (delivered).  It's history is supposedly Victorian, but I only have word of mouth to go by.  Regardless, I liked it's used look, with a little light rust here and there ... kinda gives it a bit of character :)

I want one.
Thanks chironex and Dr Goodall for keeping the thread alive.

I'll be out of photos for a few weeks till I get my own camera again.

Banfili

Well, now venomous snake season is pretty much over, I'll be getting out & about a bit with the camera. There are a few bits and pieces I have in mind to take photos of this winter, including old farm machinery and mining bits and pieces.

Might find some train stuff, too!

Very nice vice, Dr. Goodall!
