Selecta, I mistook the middle picture for a moment.  It looks at first glance to be grave stones.   
Imagine steampunk grave stones, like stone threads and gears .

It was a cultural icon here in the 70's and early 80's
Not too many survivors around these times sadly.
Some where made with packing crates and recycled corrugated iron.

No you don't see them to often these days or the old transits and Bedfords.  They went  for nearly ever
