I was relieved to read that they are a parody band (an offshoot of Alestorm (see above)) as anyone doing this seriously would be rather disturbing.

I'm *still* listening to Mono, as I feel they give a fairly good representation of classical orchestration using modern instruments - which is roughly what I would define 'steampunk music' as.


Mono - Everlasting Light (Holy Ground)

I know their music is rather minimalist in nature, and can take some time to get into, but if you can deal with 10+ minute songs, then post rock is simply the most epic, beautiful stuff around.

Been listening to lots of the jolly rogers off and on. It's hard to find, but good. Be warned, once their songs get stuck in your head they are very difficult to get rid of.
