a sky-dwelling squid, basically. Usually reaches gargantuan proportions in adulthood  Juveniles can be from hand-sized to the size of, say, a large elephant, or larger as they approach adulthood. Completely fictional, of course - er, I hope.

Lots of stuff going on right now in my neck o' the woods. Autumn & Holiday dulcimer society performance and festival season; Learning the fiddle (there's a dearth of Old Time style fiddlers - no, bluegrass is not the same - around here); designing a very basic how-to irish flute/fife/pennywhistle playing workshop for festivals and club meetings just in case I get asked to do one; having to take over family typing duties from Mom, various other family and medical affairs. Busy, busy, busy...

Getting over both flu and food poisoning, and folks' campaign to make docs take me off of so many different kinds of drugs. may be a few days more, but I could get back to posting relatively soon, provided life throws no further curveballs. Also Spring performance and festival seasons are coming up.

Ouch. Sounds like you've had a bad time of it.

So glad to hear from you again Mr Bailey.

Thanks, Jon B., Doc.

Unfortunately, I seem to be having a semblance of a relapse. Of course, my habitual snacking (which ironically usually saves me from gastric troubles) is not helping matters. Hopefully, since I've been able to post a couple of banjo videos without having to immediately run to the head (ahem; people, whom I was earlier on demonstrating playing techniques to, requested a couple of tunes played all the way through), I will be back to a more copascetic state and posting here again soon.
