I think Celia would try and save her.  Her job is mainly to keep the balance and even though the Morgan scares her she knows that the world needs her I think she has had visions of what a magical collapse would be like and would be horrified by it.

Is it bad that i am wondering if the puppet master is either Charley or someone pretending to be him.  Perhaps our Sherlock Holmes has been replaced with Moriarty and we didn't have a clue.

In Reid's ancestry story ( which is an old clan tale and,might have some flaws, exaggerations or downright untruths) the other brothers became early trolls, elves, and dwarves.  Only Gregor retained his humanity, though cursed.

For Reid, this is exploring part of his family history that he has never taken stock of.  Stuff like the Morrigan seems distant to a guy who is paid to kill animals by the gov.  Even with the curse/ ability he didn't think much about all this before.

The people who's shadows are going after Celia are still savable but only if their shadows are not destroyed.  She doesn't have a huge defence against them because they are not suposed to be a part of the city in fact that might make them harder for her to fight because she has to rely on her own human eyes and not the city's eyes.

I try and keep up but maybe we should try and make each mystery have a page cap?

What we have done in the past to throttle things back is each person goes in sort of an order and no one can go until the next person posts unless they are split from the group.  If they are split they have to wait for the rest to join back before going on with the plot.  So each person can set their action up and it gives plenty of time to read and respond to the others.  We usually only skipped a person when it had been a day since their last post and they had not been active.  Since we know each other better now and have a good idea that no one will be steam rolling everyone else we can put in hooks for the others to build on. Like player a leaving something they know player b will want to build on. It makes it more like writing a story together. and players can always talk through actions here.

This is why I stayed back, intentionally.  Reid and mallard had an adventure, now these guys, then the kid? I dunno, but I feel bad when it races away and a player is left out.

Lets start with what happens after JJ arrives.
No one is sure what to make of JJ but Toby befriends him. Celia trusts her little boy possibly more than she should and contemplates taking JJ under her wing. As far as I know he continues to sit with Toby as the others talk about the case and the power they bring to the table. 

Reid and Mallard get in a fight over clashing personalities and magic but Ceila wont let it come to blows.  Beety knows what JJ is and tells Celia who feels motherly towards him. While they are fighting the white hound and his shadow come back roaring for a fight.  Abraham, James and Reid give him just that and we learn that shadows can only be stopped by light and running off the person casting them.  Beety and Celia try to figure out why the attack is happening and get some incite in to what is suposed happen wile James mentions a gate being crossed.  Reid gets a quick lesson in cleansing a shadow then gets sent off to the tower with Mallard to look for clues. 

Reid has friends in high places that help get them in but they bicker all along the way.  James checks in with his otherworldly contacts while Celia worries about the fact it looks very much like the Morgan is involved. Abraham investigates on his own useing what are most likely underworld contacts.  Beety watches the boys while Toby has a catnap and then JJ runs off I think to the tower but realy I have no idea.

More bickering and both Mallard and Reid notice there is something very wrong at the tower. The ravens are enchanted to try and open a door to the place where King Arthur rests but Mallard and Reid manage to stop them and get rip roaring drunk on the way home.  Meanwhile Beety and Celia worry about the missing JJ but soon find they have bigger things to worry about when a gargoyle shows up with a message.   

The gargoyle is one of London's first and uses a language that none of them fully understand until the two drunks who are now sort of buddies come home.  Reid manages to communicate while in a haze then passes out.  Ceila is not having this and catapults both of them to sobriety in a less then fun way only to find out speaking gargoyle is something Reid can only do drunk.  They managed to piece things together and find out that someone is trying to put a false Arthur on the throne enslaving the Morgan in the process. And this is realy realy bad. Abraham came back giving them another link to a string of disappearances that they need to form a party to investigate.  Reid and Celia confined in each other about their history with the fae and along with Beety this strengthened their resolve.


This is what is going on right now.

Reid is sleeping off the drunkenness cure at the club as is Mallard as far as I know. 

Celia, Abraham, James and Beety are in the slums following a lead Abraham had about abductions connected to the case.   

Celia has become an avatar for London giving her a lot of power at the risk of never coming back.  She walked in to and ambush of shadow people and Abraham came to save her at a large cost to himself.  Without her permission the city itself has pulled power out of her to make golden figures to fight the shadows.  They are unstable because Celia cannot support that kind of division being that she is only human.

Beety has run in to an ambush of the men in white that are controlling the shadows and James may not be close enough to help. 

Now would be the perfect time for JJ to show up and help either Beety, Celia or Abraham because they all showed him care in the past.

Would anyone want to right a short story or two about about who you are playing?  I am asking because I want to elaborate on how Celia got Toby and I figure we could have a side story thread like some games have had in the past.

The book I have on Amazon is set a few years before the timeline of this adventure, but 120 before the older james arrives in this adventure.

Celia has absolutely no idea what will happen when the golden figure meets the shadows but she is pretty sure it will end with a boom.  The other figures will try and run to help you all but how successful they are is up to you.

I liked my dream sequence as relates to Celia and the idea of whether the Morrigan is being used or the one in charge and her past with my family.....

But when someone edits this please move it out of the other's fight sequence.  It sort of disrupts the flow I think

What is happening with the golden figures is basic this The city tries to make an unstoppable force but Celia can only hold it together for so long before it collapses and spends all the energy used in making it at once.  As they dwindle down she will be able to hold it for longer and longer but it takes a lot out of her with each one lost and she may end up with some rather extreme numbness for a while.

Celia may not have actually seen a form of Morgan in the flesh so to speak but I imagine she would be watching the fight and take advantage of Celia's current state.

As a point of side track, James is just a ball of glowing light.
Even if she doesn't know where she is Beety can sense that there is something about the dimensions.
This room that she is in is dependent on what she thinks it looks like as its connected to her mind.
She can also communicate with James through the mind.
Even though there is a warm fire in the hearth, there is a coldness to this world as it's a borrowed part of the demigod and snow queen Yuki Onna.

Celia may have also sensed (through london's perception of magic) the disappearance of James and Beety
