Steampunk Away

I was thinking the book part as well, but it would require editing.

I don't mind the idea of,the ebook.  Agreed on needing the editing.

"Uh-uh. I know what you're thinking. Did he discharge 6 chambers, or was it only 5? Well, I rather forgot myself, what with all this excitement and all. But seeing that this is a .45 Civiliser, the most powerful hand-cannon in the Empire, and will blow your goggles clean off, you ought to ask yourself a question. Do I feel lucky?

"Well, do you... steampunk?"

Ranger Reid

Sorry I missed your character name.   I dont think it hurt really. but I will fix it forward.

Prof. Isambard Ravenwood

Oh, it's fine, just a heads up for the fluidity of the game.

LOL   Sample post  :    Reid suddenly caught a crossdraft, and realized that the smell of urine and B.O. were from a much more proximate source.  Apparently his protege had been more frightened than he let on during the attack.  Reid felt a moment's pity for the poor man, then thought "That explains why he was shouting criticisms from the safety of Celia's skirts, and not fighting himself."

But honestly,  I just cant...  LOL

LOL, actually, the tubes don't smell that bad in London... it's the Parisian metro that STINKS.

You are talking about a guy who has spent his life in the woods.  A crowd is when he passes another guy on a horse.   So.... Victorian London......

Prof. Isambard Ravenwood

"a crowd is when he passes another guy on a horse" brilliant LOL

Hey,  since we are both developing this part together, I wont go very far with the narrative.   I will just nudge a little, and then you add to.

I have an idea forming about what we might find.  :)

I was just going to ask you about that :)  It's your story.

Stella Gaslight

It is our story now and I have a twist to plonk down. Some of the gargoyles are friend and some are foe and it is up to you to figure out which is which.

We had a group, YEARS ago that did combat choreography.   We went to a bunch of the RenFairs and even performed at other events.  It was special but as happens, egos ruined it.    The two main guys got to measuring...... equipment.   And so the group split.  Sad too because apart, neither group was any good.

I tried to go to both groups for a bit, trying not to take sides.   So I ended up being alienated from both.  I would show up and they would drill me whether the other group was talking about them.   It was so junior high.....

I miss the performing, but not the drama.

My favorite part............(long post sorry...)   but my favorite part of a RenFair is the first night or so.  The paying folks have left.  All the die hard role players are still in character and costume.  And you have a bonfire/ cookout/ party all evening in character.  It was awesome.

I had a small reputation for telling stories.  I would make up some sweeping tale of adventure, and I would weave in the guys I had met that night, making them heros, villains, and such depending on how I thought they wanted to be seen.

I miss telling the stories by the firelight the most.
