Warning: This game is meant as a totally laic moral fable and this thread should in no way be interpreted as religious.

I invented a game for your futur steampunk venue.

Pact With With The Devil: A Game Of Philosophical Discourse

Premise: In victorian england , the Devil, under the disguise of a  inventor, have invited a group of investor in his manor to show them his creations. To each he ask which personal use it would make of them and gave the blueprint to the one who have the more ''interesting'' use. Little than the investors know than ''interesting'' mean here  ''the surest way to send you into Hades''.....

Rule

1- The participant are composed of a gamemaster dubbed ''The Devil'' and three to five players dubbed '' Guest''.

2-Each guests start with 10 soul points

3- The Devil ask to each guest what they would be doing if they were gifted of a particular superpower (symbolised by one of the Devil's inventions)

4- The guest give the more sincerest (and out-character) answer to the inquiry. The Devil is permitted to hand-wave answer he judge over-stereotypical and reinterate the question to the offender.

5- The Devil then enumerate every possible backslash for the guest's intended use to their newfound power.  The guest with the more catastrophic backslash lost 1 soul point , the least catastrophic gain 1 point and any person found guilty to insist into giving unsincere answer after reinteration of the question lose 3 point.

6- Another power is suggested ,etc, etc, etc

6- The winner is the last guest keeping his soul.

The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''
