Yes I was going to suggest them as well although they are called "The Hat Company"...the service is very, very good and the hats are sent quickly and well packed. They have an ebay store, and a website, the top hats are Christy's and are £25. They also do bowlers and other types of hat.

I'm pleased to find glossy top hats are indeed still available. In the unlikely event of my ever being able to afford that kind of money, I'll be ordering one for my enourmous-bonce Significant Other. (A size 7 3/8 bowler leaves red marks on his forehead.)

There's also a hidden hat gem in the Birmingham Indoor Market - there's a gentleman selling workwear and outdoor clothing who also has a remarkable selection of reasonably priced hats hidden away - alas, I don't know the store name, but I've had several nice titfers from him.

I can safely say, without a shadow of a doubt, that there is no such shop in the Castle Arcade Cardiff called "Lipstick Powder and Lace". I walked through the arcade and around the balcony, nothing. Theres a place that sells powdered wigs, but no clothing. So you can strike that one off.

Apparently they relocated to an indoor antique fair on Penarth Road, I have yet to find it.

But please add Jacobs Antique Market, its just behind Central Station in Cardiff, they sell Victoriana, military gear, devices, old medical equipment etc, and its really cheap. Its open Thursday to Sunday

I love the real McCoy and its cafe in Exeter, Suttlers Store in Poole,  Sabar Sales in Southsea is a must, BUT my favorite But too expensive high street store for Steampunk is  ALLSAINTS  take a look in there they have some brilliant victorian style boots in pre-faded colours and just wonderful items.  There Camden store front is post- apocalyptic style rusted metal.

Well, I found Lipstick, Powder and Lace, as well as like, a BILLION other cool stalls in a place called The Pumping Station here in Cardiff! Heres the website http://www.the-pumpingstation.co.uk/ its a real treasure trove with everything from Victorian clothing, homeware, militaria and antiques, to scrap brass, bottles and furniture. The stall holders are willing to haggle and do you deals, we found a lovely man called Magnus in a tophat who showed us around, allowed us behind the counters etc.

I got WW2 leather gaiters for £5, they had an enormous 2 metre long brass telescope for £165....so the prices really are awesome! Please add it, its a fab place!

Ruthven lane, off Byres road for Clothes (Starry starry night for vintage and retro, they often have uniforms and tailcoats) and junk (Relics for antiques, brass bits and bobs and all sorts of stuff)
Mr Bens in Kings Street for clothes, as you would expect
Paddys market for clothes except the wretched council hounded most of the traders out. Only one or two left on the Briggait side

Two huge jumble sales each year: 72nd Scouts, in September in the westend of Glasgow, and 29th Scouts, in March in the southside of Glasgow.
