GCCC

An examination of the creation of the trope-setter for the literary vampire.

From the TCM website:  "Professor Christopher Frayling explores the origins of Bram Stoker's Dracula and travels in the footsteps of the novel's hero, Jonathan Harker, across Europe to Castle Dracula. Frayling also critiques the interpretations of Stoker's tale."

(Heads-up:  There's about a minute-and-a-half of annoyance at the beginning of this documentary; just soldier on.)

This series also includes an episode on Dracula's "bookend", Frankenstein, which I have been unsuccessful in locating.

That episode's blurb from the TCM website:  "Professor Christopher Frayling explores the life of Mary Shelley and the influences on her famous novel Frankenstein, including the loss of her child. The special also delves into the metamorphosis of Dr. Frankenstein's creature due to Hollywood's take on the classic story."

If anyone can provide a link to that episode somewhere, your help would be much appreciated.
