I am glad what I wrote sort of fit.   I missed an entire page of posting somehow.    I was busy most of the day, and I thought I was caught up.   But I posted my last bit and then read this thread and got confused about stuff.   when I reopened the main story, I saw that my post landed after a bunch of stuff I had missed.


I think it still reads well, if not let me know.

I like our story so far.   It does track pretty well with Indiana Jones in my opinion.

The one bit you might want to play off of is Liam was the one that started the fire that did the carrier in.

I am lost.  Can you link the exact post?   I tried to read all the stuff with the vampire, but I honestly don't get everything in some of the really long posts.

One of the planes Donna and Liam took out was a fuel carryer that set the whole thing on fire.  Donna wants to take him dancing at some point.

Yes they did but the surface fire was because of a lot of fuel on the upper deck. They had a refueling station up top and it went boom and stopped any more planes from taking off while the explosion below water sunk it..

Mama Hayrick's first name is Silvia and yes she is a gossip hung up on propriety like in the first game.  Only this time her inn is a big fancy hotel.

The explosion occurred in the firebox and caused a main boiler explosion. Most ships larger than a lighter were, and still are, (save for the mid-sized diesel freighters adn smalle rcruise ships) largely steam-driven; even the big nuclear powered ones use all that nuke power to make steam, and the ammo magazines tend to be locafed away from such facilities for obvious reasons. So, the boiler explosion only bent the keel, whereas the ammo going up blew out the already weakened bottom - or so I would expect, at any rate.

not a big point, but I'm Texan and Al's actually Californian. That Dreyfuss person that Meri keeps trying to compare Al to (not a lot in common between the two men, other than the fact that both kept thwarting her or trying to at every turn; see the "Merovingia" post) is/was the Texian; there may be a similarity of secret attraction for Meri, but I haven't decided about that yet.

Al would tend to bury it under protocol and loyalty, but I keep thinking he's long had kind of a developing soft spot for the Captain, hopeless though such may be, so there may be a bit of conflict in the offing in that respect).

Not trying to alter the storyline; I put that 'sound on the other side of crates' there for either rescue by one of or the rest of the squadron, or recapture by the enemy, whichever fits.

Jace is equal parts pigheaded and loyal.  She will need medical attention after the fight but until Jace is sure everyone is safe getting her to medical attention will be hard.  She may like Al too but be cautious about expressing it as more than friendship because she got in a big romantic mess when Jace was at the flying circus because she misread a few people.

I didn't know if you wanted the doctor stolen/ escaped, or still around.  So I said I thought I smelled him behind the dumpster, but that can be changed.   I thought it would be funny for him to have to deal with cowardly peeing his pants while we were all fighting.

If he is still with us, I would like it if he does turn out to be hiding behind the dumpster.......... you can decide whether he lost his fluids or not.

He is with us for now I think the next big thing is getting us to medical care and then when our guard is down that night all hell will brake loose.  I think some of the Germans are planting bombs all over the station and they will use that to force the drs hand.

Sorry to be ghoulish, but I"ve heard from several sources who would know, that burning or burnt human tends to smell distressingly like burnt fried or roast chicken - hence Al's thinking that... well, you know.
