Yup I have been playing around with an alternate history without ww2 ever since I saw this and wondered what would happen if the fighting never started back up.

Exactly, the element that would have gone on to form Nazis the young men and the older glory hounds that felt short changed by the laying down of arms and the fact that the government seams to have forgotten national pride and honour have a different target for their anger instead of the jews being the scapegoats.  Instead they fall back more heavily in the eugenics boom that happened 1907 on to the 30's.  What comes out is sort of like the Nazi party with a strong push to make another German empire ruled by those without weakness or defect. They fight more about cowardliness than any religion as they consider that to be the worst ill to have befallen man.  But without the general populace feeling the crunch from years of failing economics they are a fringe group along the lines of many of the secret fraternities that were popular at the time.

Ah well, not that it matters as the Blue Fang is a Tardis (the pilot requires machines to travel as he is a norm and not a vail traveler.

The game thread is up for the first story.  I have plans for two and then I will open the floor to anyone that wants to take the reins.

I'm planning to have Meri come in on the zeppelin, and Al do a rescue run to a downed airboat liner; basically, he flies out to see if there are survivors in the water, lands to take on the pilots or important passengers, and if there are enough to warrant the use of his life raft, he radios back to base to send for more transport (either another flying boat or a seaborne rescue cutter). Do we want him to pick up anybody immediately pertinent to the storyline?

Is the Dragon Wagon an armored car, Staff car style vehicle, a bus, or a tank? Just wondering.

it is a old armoured car they got instead of payment for a job.  It is clunky and temperamental but Jace still thinks of it as a pretty neat toy.

My intent was to have Al turn around and see Lian, and ask him to take a look at the radiator, as it seemed to be shooting steam; I have nbo intention of having Al be a mechanic, beyiond what he's been alla long when teh Squadron's pilots had to shift for themselves. I figure since Al was used toworking on teh blue Duck, he's be able to get the Dragon Wagon up and running.

It's all moot, however, if I can't post; apparently somebody decided to remove my reply buttons for the game thread.

Al's just being Al. He's genial, yes, but having been his own boss for a few years before the Aces made him inquisitive about others and things in general, partly because that's the way he is, but also for the sake of self-preservation. He couldn't possibly know how fast the Spitfire is, but he knows about the "built-in headwinds" that plague latter-day biplanes like Steermans and J2F Grummans like his, so naturally he'd be interested in knowing the specs of a streamlined monoplane that looks like it's achieving airspeed even when standing still and whose wings seem impossibly thin compared to his own ship's wings...

What happened in shanghai is a courier job went every bad and they were stuck between two factions.  Jace came out fine owing to her lucky charms but Donna lost her co-pilot who had just proposed to her and may have been killed herself if not for the distracting chicken that gave her the time to fight back,  That is why her current co-pilot is a chicken.  She acts cheerful but her heart is not yet healed.   Jace felt like the whole thing was her fault and did her best to take care of Donna during the hard times were even looking at the Dogged Determination made her cry.

Ouch. we just had the insurer of my bike turn around and offer a refund as we were overcharged £150UK!
