Opening post.   I will try to add a lot of "background" feeling, but will let the story flow as you guys choose. 

I have an idea of what will happen to Liam and am hoping that it will suck you guys along for a little bit.  But this story will not be about my character.....    It just opens with his troubles.

Al is not a mind-reader. He's just an old soldier who has learned that people don't always tell the truth, and that sometimes that can bite everybody else in the postrerior, so he's become, er, slightly adept at detecting such; could be the knack at work as well, but then again, maybe not. he knows the boy's holding something back, and eithe rhis experience or his knack is tellinghim it's for the benefit of his family, but that's about the extent of it. As I've said before, Al is slightly psychic, the way that warplane pilots of the old "seat of the pants" days tended to have to be to stay alive, but not much beyond that.

I meant to mention that the symbol of the order was on the note.   So if anyone needs a reason to go along, they could have a history or an interest in the symbol.

I hope I haven't killed both RPs; I keep waiting for others to post things (it's not just about me or my character(s) after all), but it seems I've driven the others off. Maybe I'm just assuming blame out of a guilt complex, but thats how it seems to me.

In any case, I've gotten a dire threat/warning from my primary doc (going to meet with him in about an hour and a half) and other issues are pressing hard on me right now, so I might not be able to post regularly. Sorry about that.

(Then again, it could all follow the previous pattern and be all hunky-dory this PM. Have to see; but I doubt it)

Things are not as dire as the young nurse who called me said they were, but they're not as rosy as I would like, either; Been told to join a gym and to see a dietician, walk several miles every day and keep moving - which means not a lot of sitting in front of a computer (I have to maintain my musicianship as well; apparently that's just as important to my doc as it is to me, for some reason).

I can still keep up in the RP, I think, just not post as often, and I certainly can't "birddog" it/them the way I have been - which may actually help my and my fellow players' sanity (lol).

Shudders, I need to join the gym, I get cracking sound effects every time I draw a bow or exercise my shoulders.
This week I killed the target stand (shot it twice in the leg which is a impossibility) and the back wall!

I need to make a solid apology and a decision.   I simply have been inundated at work, and won't be able to participate.   It is unfair to you guys for me to hold up the works.    Write my character out, but if you can, leave the door open for when things calm down.

Well, that's too bad, but RL comes first. I'd say your job in particular is more important than an online RP, so Godspeed, and come back when you can, is the way I look at it.
