The administration of the Sverdlovsk Governor decided to spend new year holidays in the style of steampunk (steampunk — the direction of science fiction, inspired by the steam energy of the XIX century). In this regard, the residence of the head of the region was embellished with gears, keys, images, complex arrangements and hours. All this is done in preparation for the start of the annual Governor's Christmas trees Monday, December 25. Disassemble holiday decorations only to the end of the Christmas holidays, January 8.

Children's Christmas tree at the residence conducted since 1995, the reason for the styling in this vein, explained the Vice-Governor Pavel Krekov: "the Christmas tree at the Governor's residence is a good tradition. And every time we are preparing for them, we think, than to please you and surprise you. This year's performance is dedicated to ecology and preservation of our nature. I hope that when you will grow, learn and work, you will always remember that you need to protect the planet on which we live."

Baby Christmas holidays in the residence of the Sverdlovsk Governor have been conducted since 1995 since its opening. They are traditionally invited children from large families, orphanages, winners of creative contests and Olympiads.

And again you are waiting for the historical dance to steampunk music (we will choose the best of the programs of the past and, quite possibly, add something new), live music and rooms from Steampunk-project 99 and our other friends.

This time we will not have the ball and colabella party, but just loved the dance in the atmospheric "Boiler" under the least favorite steampunk music. Phantasmagoria in steampunk style "Dragon". This production based on the work of Soviet playwright Eugene Schwartz will be presented to the audience by the experimental theater. Unusual decorations, costumes, body art and puppets. As all this is combined in one production, learned Katerina Voronchenko.

What is usually shown, adhering strictly to Schwartz, is quite different from setting Bender Studio. Here is an incredible mix of circus performance, "Mad max" with his post apocalyptic entourage and fairy tales about the Princess. All together gives a special message from the Director.

Actors promised surprise anyone plastic game and fantastic suits. Create the illusion of reality that captures the viewer instantly.

Historical dance Studio held in Murmansk steampunk ball. The event gathered thirty gentlemen and ladies who plunged into a mysterious and festive atmosphere.

Anastasia Tsvetkova, the organizer of the ball: "the Main action is dancing, that is, we will communicate in dance, dance, dance. During the breaks we have planned a game library, a small buffet table, photo zone, even a small show of face-art, as much as anything, but the main action - historical dances."

Steampunk ball had his own scenario, according to which all the guests were participants in the experiment to develop positive emotions in the dance. And such a theme was chosen not by chance.

Anastasia Tsvetkova, the organizer of the ball: "This is a beautiful picture, interesting costumes, this is the direction of Victorian England, which developed along the way of mechanization."

To get to the ball was only by appointment, and to be trained to know in advance all the dance moves and complex combinations.

Alexey Kapralov, a participant of the ball: "there is such a movement in historical dances, after which they will say,' Oh, Yes!"? Well, yeah. In costume parties was almost unlimited, had to comply with only one rule for the girls.

About the photographer and artist, hiding under the nickname LLen29, almost nothing is known, only that she was born in 1980 in Kaliningrad. But, despite the mask of incognito (or maybe because of it), she is doing just stunning work in the genre of photo manipulation: there are so densely and subtly interwoven photography and painting, reality and fantasy, that at first sight you will not define what genre they belong to.
