Oh. Oh dear!  It happened again.  I'm so sorry mate. My training just kicked in.

My apologies!

Doing that for up to 8 hours per day will do that to you.... Please don't mention lawn.  I'm liable to lose control again.

And I thought I was the one losing the plot........ Barking bonkers! ffft, ffft, HALIBUT! ;D  ;D

I laughed way too hard at these two comments online:

I just figured out how to edit the Wiki sidebar, and have added a link to the main Forum.

My winter project is here:
A Citroen TA, built in 1955.
Spent the last 25 to 30 years in a dry garage.
Almost no rust. Complete vehicle, matching numbers and a pallet od spares to go with it.
Will still be a bit of work to get it back onto the road.

Went on a nearly 2 hour tear about my fantasy world. Initially just posted a brief lil' snippet about some characters in a private Discord I'm in with some very close mates, next thing I know, I've got a deluge of questions about the world, the history, the magic, the whole shebang. It's the most in-depth I've got to go with anyone outside my partners in a very long time, and, what's more, they didn't absolutely hate it! :-[
No, no, girliepop, I GIVE advice, I don't TAKE it, not even my own.

Granted it started 10 days ago, but Warframe is doing their Movember seasonal again. Finally remembered to crop a screenshot with a proper mustache!
In all fairness, some of those who wander are definitely lost.

Tomorrow I should finally be getting my birthday present to myself (Casio AE-1200WH-1AVEF).

That's a World Time, innit? I been wantin' one of them for a while now. I have a A159W I've worn for 22 years now, my late partner bought it for me while we were in Sudan together. The band is held together with literal paperclips, the face is worn smooth on the edges, and the "Illumination" feature barely works anymore, but I'll be damned if I ever give it up!

Casio watches are a TANK, mate. That'n'll last you a lifetime. Even if you DON'T take care of it! ;)

Yeah, it's a World Time. I've always had Casio watches, but this will be my first watch in 25 years. Back in upper elementary I had an oldtimey Casio I don't remember the model of and a black&red Baby-G.

Found the issue why the motor of my 1955 Citroen 11BL always died after a few seconds of running.
List of repairs is getting shorter.
Soon I can take the old beast to the MOT.

It had been stored for 25 to 30 years.
Most of them were black. Mine is grey.
The fascinating theing is that there is a huge community and you can get any part as replacement.

Tomorrow, we start legal proceedings against my kid's school. Been a long road to get to this point. And it's gonna be a long, uphill battle. But it's going to be so satisfying to slap those papers on their desk for negligence, reckless endangerment, all the medical bills... plus we see the Magistrate in the Shire of the County in Which We Dwell... busy day! Busy day!

Very best of luck with that!

I hope it is faster and more rewarding than our similar fight. After 3 years of legal wrangles the local Authority offered him a place in the only educational establishment that could handle a high-functioning autistic child, the Hospital and Home Teaching Unit. Who loved him the next year when it was announced that they were to be closed down and we then pointed out that it was legally required to teach him for the next 4 years so couldn't close.

And be aware - when the university he went to kicked him out for being autistic and we won the court case against them, our solicitor ran off with his £30,000 compensation award. Which we still haven't managed to get back, ten years on. Don't let it happen to you.

Initial filing started. Lawyers retained. More papers to be filed Monday. LOT of things came to light today the mum and I didn't know (didn't know cause kid didn't tell us... there's not enough GAAAAAAH in the world for that... It's a very good thing I'm disabled) Uh... This may actually go to criminal trial on the one we're getting a restraining order on.

The school may be looking to settle out of court once we serve them with papers on the reckless endangerment. It's... Again, a long, uphill battle. But if all goes to plan, the kid won't have anything to worry about for a very, very long time.

I'll tell you lot like I told their guidance councilor: I'm doing for them what my parents never did for me, making sure that they're advocated for, that their voice is heard, and that no one who wrongs them gets away with it! :)

Also, super sorry you got screwed on the money. That's not alright. So sorry. :(

Sorry to hear about crooked solicitors  :o

Anyhow, today I'm happy that I managed to replace the power supply in my Clock Computer. In the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep (why not?, be productive at least). Way too easy to do, not that I expected it to be any different, but the motherboard is a second hand board that "appeared to be new" according to the seller when I bought it on the Bay of E. It could have been a busted motherboard, but it wasn't. I gambled a bit of cash when I bought it (didn't want to invest on a new CPU), but the MoBo was in excellent shape when I got it, and I'm glad to say there's nothing wrong with it AFAIK, though it's way past its freshness date and capacitors and such will go bad all by themselves.

I have managed to punch up the second PDF related to my TTRPG system. Both so far are technically system agnostic, and just NPCs, so not that big of a deal, but the fact I have things done (this one is just waiting on the proof reader) makes me super happy. Also releasing them in Creative Commons because seriously.

Soon, I'll actually get back to work on assembling the system proper, since the rules are done, I just have to figure out how I want to put 'em to page and how much I want to balance fluff vs crunch in the document.

It's all slowly but surely coming together!

The Bullet

My 1955 Citroen did the first few metres under its own power after being laid up for 25 to 30 years.
We made it out of the garage and along the driveway before returning to the starting point.

Idle still is not good. The carb needs to come off again for another inspection/cleaning.
Brakes have been refurbished, new handbrake ropes fitted.....

We are making progress.

The Bullet

Carb has been cleaned. We now have good idle and full power.
Did a few moves up and down the driveway.
Date for the MOT has been set.
There´s still some work to do until then.
