I consider it a personal holiday today. 56 years ago:

Happy Moon Landing day!
In all fairness, some of those who wander are definitely lost.
Please be patient with me, I am from the 1900s.

It was only 56 years ago.

The shaking becomes a warning

I was four when the moon landing took place, and I absolutely refuse to be any older than I have to be.

I remember exactly where I was when Armstrong stepped onto the moon, despite only being 9 at the time and remembering almost nothing of my childhood. I could even work out the what3words location.
I speak in syllabubbles. They rise to the surface by the force of levity and pop out of my mouth unneeded and unheeded.
Cry "Have at!" and let's lick the togs of Waugh!

Today we packaged peas and carrots. I spent the afternoon humming "Margaritaville" and "Cheese Burger in Paradise," both Jimmy Buffett tunes, because Jimmy was from Florida, where they have...

Tonight was the opening night of the exhibition that some of my models are appearing in.

It's quite surreal seeing something I've built on public display.
Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

I'd like to, but I didn't take any!  ;D

I'm going back in a few weeks with some friends, so I'll take some then.

Took my 1955 Citroen to a vintage car meeting.

The final few kms I had a two seated open MG racecar and a W124 Mercedes behind me. In this "formation" we arrived at the showground. This alone made my day.

Had a great day there. Weather was fine.

I just paid off the mortgage on the Institute.

Spending that much money at once was very traumatic; I needed a stiff drink afterward.

Congratulations.  I'm still many, many years away from that point with the money pit.

Saturday, I had a little outing, with a few good friends.

Hmm, that looks familiar...

Oh, yes.  Because I built it.

Wish I could say that.  In not even sure that my life will expire within these territories, even assuming I had the money to do that.  The way it looks I'll be looking to depart to far away lands in the near future.

Thank you (I get to see it again this weekend.  Because I'm taking part in a model makers event at the Gallery.  Gulp.)

Starting November 1st, I got a new job. Got the confirmation from the new employer on friday, and wrapped up everything with my current boss today. She will, reluctantly and unhappily, not make any problems, let me move and terminate my contract prematurely.

Not strictly steampunk (though he has a couple), but I spent a good deal of time today going through this fellow's channel on the youtubes:

Practical effects and stop motion, my beloved. The workshop videos where he talks about making some of the puppets are fascinating.
