I didn't think Lowe has seen Mordavo's alter-ego IC so I'd go with the confusion and his natural tendency to take his employer's side.

No problem; Mordavo's used to dealing with people's reactions to his midform and full-transformational appearance, and I'd think he would have been treated with silver many times by either paranoid or well-meaning individuals. It hasn't killed him (yet), though I'd imagine it'd be a pretty horrific experience each time.

I'm thinking he's had to put up with people being varying degrees of horrified, fascinated, traumatized and "righteously" (as in the "righteous" anger and prejudice of would-be "darkhunters" and "werewolf exterminators") scandalized when seeing him in other than human form, so he's probably used to it.

I think the puca is trying to go help lady Emily.  And it would be sort of neat if it had been friends with her when she was little.

That sounds interesting. It might be that 'Davo is sensing something to that effect, being in a "transitional" phase between human and lycanthropic (and thus somewhat supernatural) animal... but however you all want to play it.

Just a reminder, Emily has no idea what's going on back in the library, as she's tied up in the study. (Literally or figuratively, I'll leave it to you to figure it out.)

The three in the library will presumably notify their employer as soon as they can.

I also apologise for inadvertently translating Mordavo's instructions into Heterodynish Jäeger rather than his actual accent, but I realised Lowe was the kind of practical guy to be poking at a warded circle with an iron blade and he might not know the significance of this - that's part of the character interplay, not everybody is an expert in everything or instinctively knows their fellows' backstories etc

Real life stuff has gotten in the way and I haven't been able to post in a while, but I'm back now and dying to see what Quincy has been up to while the book people have been dealing with book-related problems

Looks like our merry band is getting a little mascot with this puca. Any name ideas?

Steam Titan

Still time to join in? Also what level of steam tech is there for this? Like full automatons and such? Just curious cause have a couple character ideas and two of them are what could almost be considered 'high tech' steampunk

Stella Gaslight

I admit I am baseing a lot of the púca's behavior off my cat .  I would say there is still time to jump in.

We have automatons, but there is also some magic in Higgsbury hall, which is apparently quite foreign to all but those "in the know".

You can still join!

hmmm what character to make/use. Tempted to playtest an clockwork creation master Frau Drosselmeyer. Like Herr Drosselmeyer from the nutcracker but makes clockwork constructs instead lol. Course bringing in an occult expert char could be neat twist too.

Fred is good but why not take it to a new step like Fernando lol

I think Gwin would call it silky after a ponie she had as a child but Argent wouldn't be a bad choice either.

Sterling might also be a good choice.

Gaaaaggghhh...
Sorry for the wait, I'm still in, just really busy right now.

Out of the hospital, but dealing with daily outpatient antibody infusions through a "midline port" (a kind of "temporarily permanent" I.V. connection thing) for a blood infection, apparent allergic reaction to the midline's self-adhesive dressing (God bless benedryl!), followup appointments, treatment tests, absolutely convoluted insurance issues, yadda yadda.

But Don't give up on me just yet!

Still with the daily infusions and other craziness, but still hangin' in there.

I keep writing and then erasing Mordavo soliloquizing about arcane errata; don't want to build too much of the world or its "metaphysics" to my or his model. Also, I am trying to cut down on excess verbage in my writing.

It appears we've had a bit of stagnation. Should we resume tidying the library?

Infections eradicated, midline port has been removed, now recuperating from that (no heavy lifting, hydrocortisone on the dressing rash, etc.), so I have five days of relatively free time.
