Actually, the public shaming of the stocks might do some of these idiots a bit of good - bring back the stocks!

That's what wallstreet was saying last month.

The Pillory seems like a good idea aswell.
Oh...my old war wound? I got that at The Battle of Dorking. Very nasty affair that was, I can tell you.

The pillory can be much more damaging than the stocks - at least with the stocks you could use your arms to protect yourself if someone took particular exception to your misbehaviour. In the heyday of pillories the person being pilloried could be badly hurt or even killed if the public were really incensed by the prisoners' particular crime. You could be pelted with rotten fruit and vegetables, often with stones hidden in them, and could be scarred for life or even lose your vision. Pillory much nastier, stocks less nasty, but both very, very shaming. The pillory was much used in London as a sentence imposed by the City of London financial courts.

Here's a rather beautiful tune I stumbled across on Facebook. Apparently, comments turned nasty and an admin had turned off commenting, but in and of itself, despite the title, it's actually a very beautiful piece.

Actually only posted it here because it's refering to the COVID issue; if people think it ought to go in a more serious music section, please move it there.

If only the music kept adding a new "thread" of music every now and then, allowing it to 'grow'. I hate to think of how many octaves it would cover in the end. Certainly not something that even the Piano Guys would play easily.

There must be an explanation.

Breweries are closed in Mexico by order of the government. I guess it really is the 20s all over again  ;) People are losing their... over it down there. But Spoetzl brewery from Texas (Shiner Beer) had the idea to export beer into Mexico through the very few HEB supermarkets (also from Texas) that exist in Northern Mexico. I can't think of a better marketing decision ever for both. I wouldn't be surprised to see Shiner and HEB open markets in Mexico because of that.

I can't find Everclear (190 proof).... I need it to cut (thin) shellac and everyone is out of it.
They have 150 proof but I can't use that...contains too much water.
I think there was a run on the 190 stuff because it can be used as as antiseptic.
But so can the 150 proof  and it closer in strength to the [70%] rubbing alcohol available [at normal times] in stores.

Agreed!

Seems to me it'd make a great Chamber piece. Not that I'm the go-to person to make that happen, though (lol)

Nice finality to the conclusion. Like we're finally going to "have done with it!" in the end, and move on.

Can anyone tell me if British breweries are down? The last time I was at the liquor store for beer the selection of English beers was utterly dismal.

This explains the last two Mingles with Jingles videos, where The Mighty Jingles just sits around with partner RitaGamer and talks [faecal matter] while the cats go stir-crazy.

(this is usually Jingle's video gaming news discussions, only there hasn't been so much gaming news for some time).
Last episode, Jingles appalled many of his countrymen by drinking a French beer. This episode it's a Bud. Next episode -  :o
(It is a unique position to say you actually prefer Fourex over other Australian beers...)

They're still working flat out as far as I know. A couple of friends run a small brewery here and are doing weekly home deliveries within a 30 mile radius of the city. Business, while not quite up to normal, is good apparently. But then again, so is their beer.  ;D

I suspect it might be the shipping that is the problem. Either because of the lack of transport or because we're all drinking the stuff before it can be exported.

I'm not living in Central Standard Time. It's more like Casino Standard Time. I don't even know when the sun will come out or if the weekend has started.

Some people will believe almost anything, it seems. This USB stick is claimed to have a nano-layer which is a quantum holographic catalyzer technology for the balance and harmonisation of the harmful effects of imbalanced electric radiation. It even works without any power, so you can keep it under your pillow and not catch Coronavirus in your sleep! Sounds jolly Woowoo to me. :D

And if you can't afford the $300 they're asking, you can get one direct from China for 1/100th of the cost:https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Promotional-gifts-crystal-USB-flash-drive_62409634097.html If the etching of George and the Dragon is essential for its function (you can never tell with Woowoo), they may cost a little bit more.

Stay safe and sane.  ;)

Wow!!! I gotta get me one of those - then I'll be SAFE!

Christ on a crutch! And, of course, nothing can be done to stop it. At least you get a swish looking USB stick, although St George killing a poor defenceless dragon would never be my first choice!

And we have a small scandal.

The nurse at the hospital didn't expect the protective coveralls to be so transparent. Except that it is very hot.

At first they wanted to punish her. And then when people said-what the fuck, what to punish? Punish those who gave her such protection suits. She was forgiven.
Sorry for the errors, rudeness and stupidity. It's not me, this online translator. Really convenient?
