The long awaited sequel is released.

I got up at 2am this morning (better broadband connection, off peak)

Many years of anticipation, reportedly 500 million dollars to make and 3 hours long.

My opinion.......... waste of time and money, I was not impressed at all, the clever cgi and special effects just can't hide a weak story line, take the original, chuck in some aquatic beasties along with known flying beasties, bombs and bullets, an old adversary and that's pretty much it. 3 hours of my life wasted.

For some reason I kept thinking The Goonies on Pandora, not sure what that was all about.

SeVeN rating of Bleh, at best 3/10 purely for the cgi.

Cora Courcelle

I watched Mark Kermode's YouTube review.
And read another one which compared it to being 'waterboarded by turquoise cement' so that'll do for me.
I am genuinely sorry for all the fans of the original movie who are disappointed, but let's face it, a lot of sequels don't live up to the original.  I imagine Cameron may be feeling a bit jittery at this point ....
You have to tread a fine line between avant-garde surrealism and getting yourself sectioned...
