Terry Ann "Teri" Garr (December 11, 1944 – October 29, 2024), was an American actress. Known for her comedic roles in film and television, she received nominations for an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. After a series of minor television and cinematic roles, Garr's first significant role was as Roberta Lincoln in the Star Trek episode "Assignment: Earth" (S2 E26). Her breakthrough appearance was as Inga in Mel Brooks' Young Frankinstein; later vehicles included Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Tootsie, and Mr. Mom.
