I wanted to respond to a topic but was warned in red to start a new topic as it war an old one, so is this a taboo thing.  Yes, I am new here and feel the learning curve is great because there's a lot of information on here.  Happens everytime, I step on a landmine so I thought I would ask first.

Plus how on earth would I know if I am starting a new topic on well trodden, worn out ideas or things that have been hashed to death?  Theres a lot of topics on here.  Is there a search button?

That's actually not a problem here. We discourage necroposting-for-the-sake-of-posting, but reviving old discussions with new content is not merely permitted, but actively encouraged for the sake of continuity.

Many of us here are mad-science types, so resurrecting dead threads is pretty much par for the course. ;)

This is good to know, thanks for telling me.  Mad science is ok?  I wish I'd found this place years ago.  I will continue to look about.  You'd be suprised at my mad science.  Mayby.  Or mayby I will be suprised at what I find.  I have a lot to learn on here.

Are ye not familiar with Phil & Kaja Foglio's webcomic Girl Genius? Their colourist, Cheyenne Wright, is a member here.
