My renovation thread in particular is more interior design and construction/ conservation rather than pure architecture. I'd say it's more an example of the applied arts rather than fine. Having said that, in the long term - several years away at least, if it comes off - there is going to be an element of 'proper' architectural work in it.

As will mine be, once I've finished with the reconstruction work. The attic, which has been a much larger project than expected, is finally very nearly there:

Before

Now

I will document the nightmare in the appropriate thread once it is finally over. Which will, fingers crossed, be soon.
I speak in syllabubbles. They rise to the surface by the force of levity and pop out of my mouth unneeded and unheeded.
Cry "Have at!" and let's lick the togs of Waugh!
Arsed not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for tea.

I love what you did there. Very clean. The light blue and colours are great for bringing light to that attic (being the highest part of the house), and it looks like the sky (even though overcast days may be the norm in that part of the world).

I have created the Fine Arts board along with sub-boards for 2D, 3D, Performance, Architecture, and AI-generated; I have also moved Photography, and made Techniques a peer of Photography rather than a sub-sub-board. I now need suggestions for descriptions for these boards, and for candidate threads to be moved there.

I'd be happy for my house restoration/ renovation thread to be moved to Architecture.

As a descriptor for that particular board I'd say
Buildings and interiors - design, construction, restoration and renovation
Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Nicely done!  Thank you for making these changes. This will make our members' daily lives more visible, which hopefully, in turn will expand community engagement!

I have now posted Mr Harrison's Architectural Posting Guidelines. Please comment here.

Do we need similar guidelines for each section in Fine Arts?

We should have them, I think.

Sorry*, but I agree with von Corax; that sounds like a very good idea.

*Sorry for suggesting you do even more work on the site.

Agreed.  Not only would I use a similar template, but may I suggest some important rules used for safety in the graphics area in other forums and platforms such as Pinterest, DeviantArt, etc, given that digital art can be and often is misused in so many ways.  That includes topics such as nudity, age propriety, and naturally political subjects.

Opinion?

We can all help, though.
