(was torn between off topic and tactile, but it's ultimately not steampunk so i'll put it here)

I've not been doing too much steampunk stuff since I moved out to go to uni. I have, however, picked up another rather time consuming hobby: Warhammer.
though I am rather unconcerned with the tabletop game at all, I am finding great joy engaging with the lore as well as assembling and painting the minis.
and I figured, why not show them off?

Here is one of my personal favourites to start off :D

Wonderful detail. My eyesight can't paint that small. I tried to paint a Deadpool Lego head last Xmas and weren't very successful.

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Very nice. From what I know of Warhammer, some of it is not entirely unsteamly.
By the power of caffeine do I set my mind in motion
By the Beans of Life do my thoughts acquire speed
My hands acquire a shaking
The shaking becomes a warning

Thanks all! Getting the hang of the tiny scale was definitely a challenge for me as well.

I would agree :) there is an army in the warhammer Age of Sigmar game that the fans lovingly call "steampunk dwarves"

(picture clearly not mine)
Sadly, because of their airships, they're a pretty pricey army to collect, and a tedious one to paint without an airbrush!

Very nice. Brings back memories of when my eyes could actually focus on small things like that.

By the way, you mentioned about this not being Steampunk. I'm not sure if you've seen the new forum section "Fine Arts." It's a section meant for members' own works (as opposed to posting other people's works), and it's not beholden to Steampunk topics. It's mostly for your own work (Architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, etc). It was created so as to showcase our members activities outside of the forum

AH! I will be honest, i assumed the fine arts section was supposed to be steampunk only also (but like, 2d instead of 3d i suppose?) I must have misunderstood!

We like creativity and originality of all sorts here! Who knows what strange mechanical contraptions the Imperial[1] army may face or produce at any time.
