Character building project - Yo'rath

Going to start creating a character as a creative writing. One piece at a time over a long time. Each week I'll answer a self asked question regarding the character, and hopefully these developments will evolve a character over time.

Let me know where I need to go more steampunk, or need to bother with consistency.

So, first up name: Yo'rath
Species: Catfolk.

what does your hero look like?
Manicured tiger fur pattern,and golden eyes. Two ear rings on right ear, one gold and the other silver; both close to skin to not get caught or snagged.
Wears a coat that conceals his cog load pistol and light body armour. Along with wallet, travel papers, and the kin.
Barely speaks, but when he does it's soft spoken with a grizzle to his voice, like a soft spoken smoker.

How tall is he?
Body type (yes I know feline, but persian? siamese? maine coon?)
Does he only wear a coat or are there other garments as well as the body armour?
Tell me some more about the armour?
Any other weapons or does he rely on his (presumably) retractable claws for close combat?
Is he handsome? Sexy? Grizzled (like his voice)?
How old does he look?

I will apologise for both delay and not directly answering your questions, but below is my reattempt at the introduction to my character.

Lounging back into an economy class seat on the locomotive, a 35 year old orange haired felinoid relaxes back observing and contemplating. His yellow eyes inquisitive to feed his need to understand how things work and how people operate. While he himself is not unattractive, is plain enough to blend in.

An attire of puss-in-boots footwear and maroon pantaloons made to be more practical than show were a carry over from a past life's career in the service. In the side of the boot heels sits ether cartriges, now redundant for lack of need for magnetic soles; useful for the deck of an aeroship, but worthless for city life.

The white frilly shirt and cog buttoned waistcoat are classy enough for permitting him into most middle class stores, whilst his brown overcoat deteured unwanted attention from punks, bandits and muggers, too common in the slums. Beneath the torso wear was hidden a breastplate of kavlar, for the instance of a lone blade, but more so to protect him from his own paranoia.

Should the unfortunate instance of hostility occur, the service martial training paired naturally with his claws for the melee. A side cog load pistol sits concealed beneath his coat for the short range. In the now very rare instances, once too often, the rifle was his choice of medium ranged weaponry.

His music appreciation lies with jazz and blues, but to the extent that it is more interested in the establishments that incorporates such music than the music per se. He does not dance, sing, or perform.
