I made this video using Hunyuan Video text to video. I swear the quality of these programs just gets better and better

"instead" does not count. "additinally" is the point.

And in that vein, guess who just bought a Great Northern 4-4-0 to go with some Great Northern carriages?

I don't have the foggiest (said whilst trawling the 2nd hand section of a retailler's website  ;) )...

Although I stand by previous comment regarding the use of illicit substances vs model trains.

Achievement; the longest, tallest wall in the bedroom is now completely papered.

And I also managed to get around that little alcove.

That took three rolls of lining paper and two packs of wallpaper paste.  Hopefully the remaining walls won't need quite so much because they're either shorter, or shorter.

What I'm planning to do now is to leave it a few days to fully dry out, then I'm going to sort any spots which have bubbled or failed to stick.  Then I'm going to put filler over each joint and sand back, to get a really neat finish, and then I can move on and think about the paneling and painting.

Meanwhile, you remember that wall I was chipping concrete render off?

Threading the Needle[/u]
"Consarn it!" Jack Pulcifer swore as the beau Rosin suffered anothger buffet by the electromagnetic chaos in the cloudtops. He, too, had discovered sonmetime back that tracking aor kraken often led to the discovery of convenient portals - but his ship, which was much smaller thaqn the St. Elmo, lacked sufficient mass to achieve the same relative smoothness of passage that The larger battlewagon enjoyed.

He resisted switching over to the Beau Rosin's Chronojammer drive.  it was more convenient and smoother, but the results tended to be more rndon without Brantley's pocket device to influence teh Temporal flow.

All the same, he was both relieved and annoyed to "pop out" just about the St. Elmo as the portal spat him out.

"DREYFUSS!" He bellowed into the aetherphone on the frequency that he knew the commodore preferred,

"WHEN ARE YA GONNA TEACH THEM KIDS HOWDA FLY  THAT DURN' THANG?"

Nation is making it more and more illegal for me to exist as the days tick by, but I'm still holding in there! I have to hold on to the hope that fascism eventually always fails.

Still, it's getting real spicy for the LGBTQIA+ community. Especially us "T" folk...

good to hear you're holding on. I know I've been doom spiraling over some of us facing life/survival endangerment...

it's not helped by my slumlord and his wife and friend who all live on in this building having chose this, and now that it's looking to cause themn some pain and struggle they are looking to pass it on to me, and have already implied they expect me to "get renters insurance to pay for property maintenance and getting plumbing and electrical up to code" despite that not being what renter insurance is, nor my responsibility.

If you are planning on making machines or any mechanical devices, then this is an invaluable resource for devising fascinating motions and inspiring invention: https://507movements.com/about.html

You can also download it as a pdf from archive.org or z-library or buy it as an old-fashioned printed book.

So books, and a sketchbook. That sounds really doable and easy. Thanks! I will take the next step of finding a list of books to read, to pick up and set down as James Harrison mentioned; I like the ease of filling in empty time like sand in a jar of rocks (its a dumb metaphor that works), and I'll still be able to immerse.
The sketchbook Sir Henry mentioned is a good idea too. I used to do that for d&d qhen I used to run two games concurrently, so theres the logic of applying it to the hobby here. Plus I still have a stack of underutilized sketchbooks.

Thanks community 😁

I was forced to listen to two of my co-workers griping about
warning politics: ShowHide
my country's ruling party's recent Leadership Convention, the fact that the Prime Minister Designate belongs to the same Party, and that he wasn't elected by "the People",
and I realized that
  • they hadn't a frelling clue what they were talking about, and
  • I don't know if I have the courage to call them out on it.
