How do I hide my e-mail? Or: I hid my e-mail but I still see it on my posts!

If you wish to change whether your e-mail is hidden from other users (it is hidden by default), you can visit your Profile, select 'Account Related Settings' from the left bar, and check the 'Hide e-mail' box.

When it's on, no one will be able to see your email address, with a couple of exceptions:

• You will always be able to see your own e-mail address!, but others can't
• Governors and Admins can see your e-mail, in case they need to contact you outside the forum
• The site software itself can see your e-mail so that it can send you notifications

We never sell or share your e-mail address.
