pocket watch repair?

does anybody have suggestions for reliable and skilled repair/maintenance for pocket watches located in the US?

You'd be best to check the NAWCC for a local chapter.  Once you get out past watches 50 years old or so, you kinda want to find someone who is familiar with the exact make of watch you're looking at.  This has more to do with easier access to parts, since vintage watchmakers tend to hoard parts for the watches they most service.
