The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''

Our local museum  ;D. The seam of coal running under the Black Country was so wide it was called 'The Thick', but the mines had a nasty habit of flooding. The mine owners didn't mind the loss of life, but it did eat into the profits, so the first steam engines to do useful work, Newcomen atmospheric engines, were installed to pump the mines out. The BCLM has a replica, but unfortunately it's not working at the moment, needing rather a lot of money to make it serviceable again, so it's rather a shame the museum hasn't had much income over the last year or so...

Yours,
Miranda.
