The blue hue light reminds me of a movie (I forget the name) where a cruise ship (was it the Titanic?) manages to sink intact to the bottom of the ocean, and it becomes the residence for the survivors and their children who form an underseas colony. Eventually, they get found by people from dry land. They needed long term lighting and they invented a type of illumination devices that used fluorescent plankton, algae or something along the lines.
