I had another inspiring dream last night. Steampunk if you consider preternatural human novum. I blame any plot (mouse) hole on dream logic.

                                   The Mouse King

In my village, there is this superstition than children should stay away from mouse hole, especially if it doesn't seem to have mices in the house. This legend have its origin on a accident at the local castle .  At the time, the castellan at two young daughters. Said daughters once confessed they had conversations with someone who live in mouse holes . The inspection of this phenomenon lead to a hidden maze of corridors between the castle walls when a anormally tall
And fat bald man have taken. After interrogation, it have been determined than the giant had less than pure thoughts for the castellan's child. It could have ended here, but the rumours than the ogre may have descendants have lingered in the castellan family's and the villagers mind till this day.
