A Collective Thread for All Them Guns

I have recently finished another minor prop gun project, and while I want to show it off, it doesn't quite deserve its own thread. Under the assumption that I am not the only one in this predicament, I have created a thread for anyone who wishes to flaunt their weaponry.

On that note: this is Chekhov, the newest darling in my personal arsenal, a rotary dial gun.

This cries out to be used by a team of Constables employed by the Department of Enforcement. Seriously. Looks like a more awesome version of a steampunk'd Lawgiver :)

Give me a day. That's all I need.
And I can make all of these guns into real weapons.

Granted, they'll probably all be flamethrowers.
Nae king, nae quin, nae laird, nae master! We won't be fooled agin!

OK, so it's only a miniature gun, but I am making a full size one soon. :P

A friend brought me his copy of Mal's gun & asked me to make something in this family, so here's what I came up with...

I found a couple Nerf guns in a local thrift store for $1.99 each. I also found a cheap battery powered light stick in along with the flashlights display in a Walgreen's drug store. After removing the firing mechanism, and barrel from the Nerf "Night Finder" the light stick fit quite well where the barrel was especially with the little bronze bushing I had laying around the workshop. And without the firing mechanism there a window in the frame of the gun to show the flash of the lights.

I just need to rewire the light stick so the switch is either accessable, or can be turned on by the original trigger, and then dress it up a little more and off to buy some paint...
Here is a little video of the lights in action http://tinyurl.com/4nkstx

Nice rifle!

I'm thinking we need to request this thread get pinned, eh?

groomporter

Yes I've been thinking there should be a master thread for guns like there is for goggles and pocket watches.
